[News] Softhills Product User (Developer) Training — On-Site Recap

Softhills Product User (Developer) Training — On-Site RecapHello, this is Softhills. 😃Today we're sharing news of the successful completion of a training session held for developers currently using Softhills' products. This Softhills product user training was conducted for members of Samsung Heavy Industries' Production Technology Teamand Production AX PI Team, running from Monday, July 20th to Friday, July 24th at the Softhills Busan Branch. 💻[Softhills Busan Branch ▼]https://maps.app.goo.gl/ueJD7no1Fpr3YLoM6Prior to the start of the session, a brief orientation was held, followed by an opportunity to understand the usage methods and key features of Softhills' major web-based and desktop-based products, including VIZZARDX, VIZWide3D, VIZDesign, VIZWing, and VIZPub.Next, an introduction to Softhills' AI-powered products was presented. As we move further into the AI era, the demand is growing in the 3D visualization industry as well— not just for basic data lightweighting and visualization technology, but for platform technology that enables AI to understand and utilize 3D engineering data.Amid this shift, Softhills introduced the AI agent-based solutions currently under development to strengthen its competitiveness in 3D visualization technology, along with guidance on how to build agent-based applications tailored to each client's specific needs. One particularly notable part of the session was the explanation of how AI-based development methods have evolved. In its early stages,AI development focused mainly on search and copy — allowing developers to search for code snippets and copy that code directly into their existing codebase. This approach has recently progressed to a stage where IDEs and LLMs are integrated— meaning developers can now receive real-time, auto-completed code suggestions through AI plugins directly within their code editor— and is moving closer to a full "automation" stage, where AI grasps the structure and files of an entire project and automatically implements and integrates optimal new features on its own.Alongside this, an autonomous development environment centered on AI agents is expected to emerge in the near future. It is anticipated that before long, multiple AI agents will divide up complex projects among themselves and autonomously carry out every step— from basic coding through deployment. We also introduced the roles developers are expected to play within "vibe coding" and "agentic coding," two major themes in the development industry today. In "vibe coding," developers converse directly with an AI agent, giving instructions and verifying the results, whereas in "agentic coding" — given the AI's higher degree of autonomy— developers must more thoroughly manage and oversee system behavior and quality standards. On this front, we also provided detailed guidance on the various capabilitiesand technical insights needed to integrate Softhills' products with AI agents. This user (developer) training program was structured as a comprehensive, task-based curriculum combining lectures with hands-on practice.Progress on practical exercises was continuously monitored and coached, and results were reviewed together with participants— helping deepen their understanding through the combination of lectures and hands-on work..The atmosphere throughout the training was charged with enthusiasm — participants exchanged countless questions and answers, engaged in lively discussion, and shared technical insights from each other's perspectives. We would like to sincerely thank all the participants who joined this Softhills product user training. For us at Softhills as well, it was a meaningful opportunity to listen in real time to the diverse voices and needs from the field, allowing us to pursue even higher-quality technology development.Going forward, Softhills will continue to lead the way in advancing the 3D visualization industry and broadly disseminating high-quality technology.Thank you.

[Press Release] In the Age of Convergent Advanced Technologies, the Fusion of Digital Twin and AI is Key (Engineering Journal, June 2026 Feature Article)

Hello, this is Softhills. 😄We're pleased to share that Softhills was featured in the June special issue of an engineering journal. As AI-driven technological advancement becomes increasingly inevitable in the 3D engineering data lightweighting and visualization industry, Softhills is drawing industry attention by leading two key pillars for the evolution and advancement of 3D visualization technology: 'Physical AI,'which corresponds to the "brain" of the digital twin, and 'Visible AI,' which corresponds to the "eyes and mouth" of the digital twin. Please refer to the details below for more information.[Original Feature Article] In the Age of Convergent Advanced Technologies, the Fusion of Digital Twin and AI is Key(Engineering Journal, June 2026 Feature Article)Now that we've entered the age of AI, it can be said that the prevailing industry consensus is that any player in the 3D engineering data lightweight visualization industry that fails to embrace AI is destined to fall behind. As a result, industry attention is rapidly shifting beyond simple data lightweighting technology toward a platform-level competition centered on enabling AI to understand and utilize 3D engineering data.Amid this trend, Softhills Co., Ltd. is leading the evolution of 3D visualization technology along two key axes. The first is execution-driven 'Physical AI,' corresponding to the "brain" of the digital twin. This is a Sim-to-Real autonomous execution-type digital twin that derives optimal behaviors through hundreds of millions of trial-and-error iterations within a virtual environment equippedwith real physical laws such as gravity and friction, then transplants these behaviors onto actual equipment — achieving bidirectional data exchange and real-time control between the virtual model and physical equipment through hardware integration. The second is cognition-driven 'Visible AI,' corresponding to the "eyes and mouth" of the digital twin — a cognitive insight-type digital twin that visually explains AI analysis results (xAI) and enables conversational, interactive engagement with users through LLM and MCP technologies. To support these two axes, Softhills is applying and advancing execution-driven 'Physical AI' technology within its next-generation viewer solution, VIZZARDX.Meanwhile, cognition-driven 'Visible AI' — an AI Orchestration technology that organically leverages cutting-edge AI technologies such as LLM, MCP, and RAG on lightweight 3D engineering data— is being commercialized as the intelligent AI platform 'VIZMaven,' set for upcoming release.VIZMaven is a Cognitive Insight AI platform that connects enterprise knowledge with 3D data. It offers a secure, on-premise Private LLM environment that prevents internal data leakage, semantic search and autonomous learningthat grasps user intent and improves accuracy through reinforcement learning (RL), and flexible system integration capabilities including real-time linkage with internal portals and knowledge bases based on RAG and MCP.Through this, product users gain not only a natural-language 3D Visual Search experience powered by conventional LLM technology, but also the ability to directly customize the product without any development experience.Furthermore, this paves the way toward a fully autonomous digital twin — one where users can test various models directly within a virtual space and apply optimal simulation results to the real world. In this way, Softhills is regarded as an industry leader in implementing these two core pillars — 'Physical AI' and 'Visible AI' — driving the evolution of 3D visualization beyond simply "displaying" models toward an autonomous digital twin that "thinks and acts."This has been demonstrated through the continuous supply of Softhills' 3D data lightweight visualization solutions to major Korean corporations— starting with Hanwha Ocean and extending to HD Hyundai's shipyards, Samsung Heavy Industries, Hanwha Aerospace, and SK Hynix.Through numerous projects carried out over more than a decade, Softhills has dramatically advanced its lightweight visualization technology for large-scale, complex 3D engineering data and models.VIZZARDX embodies this decade of accumulated technical know-how in 3D engineering data lightweight visualization — a large-scale 3D model review solution built on Softhills' proprietary next-generation engine (VIZCore3DX), developed entirely with domestic (Korean) technology.Built on fundamental optimizations across data structure, algorithms, and API — VIZZARDX guarantees a minimum frame rate of 15 FPS or higher, establishing itself as a universal lightweight visualization solution capable of fast, accurate 3D model rendering with enhanced performance.Softhills CEO Park Jin-pyo stated, "Our recently unveiled next-generation lightweight visualization solution for large-scale 3D models, VIZZARDX,has been confirmed to reduce loading time from 85 seconds to 3.3 seconds — a roughly 96% improvement — compared to the existing VIZZARD, while cutting memory usage from 32.1GB to 2.3GB, a 93% reduction."He added, "This overwhelming performance breakthrough is the essential foundation we've laid in advance for the coming era of 'Physical AI,' which must withstand hundreds of millions of virtual trial-and-error iterations, and 'Visible AI,' which handles vast amounts of 3D knowledge in real time."He continued, "Ultimately, VIZZARDX embodies Softhills' direction of evolving beyond a visualization specialist into an AI digital twin company."He added, "In this way, Softhills is doing its utmost to contribute to the digital twin industry and lead the advancement of various industries, built on our core lightweight visualization technology for 2D/3D engineering data and our 'Physical AI' and 'Visible AI' capabilities."As another technology embodying Softhills' direction, the VIZCore3DX product line is built on its core engine technology, VIZCore3DX.Core, with the .NET-based view control VIZCore3DX.NET as its flagship product.VIZCore3DX.NET provides an industry-leading API as an SDK, enabling both a 3D viewer and free viewer-based customization, allowing flexible use tailored to customer processes.VIZCore3DX's core features are designed around the practical demands of the plant and shipbuilding industries, which handle massive volumes of 3D information. As standard, it provides high-speed loading and real-time navigation of large-scale 3D models, design review, interference checking, scene save-and-replay, 3D model-based search, animation generation, and multi-user collaboration. A key strength is its ability to seamlessly navigate an entire ship or plant model composed of hundreds of thousands of parts on a single screen.More recently, Softhills has been focusing on VIZWide3D, a large-scale 3D web visualization platform built on the VIZCore3DX visualization engine, which maximizes the usability of massive 3D data by rapidly visualizing large-scale 3D model data even in web environments with limited available resources.VIZWide3D complies with web standards, enabling 3D-based services across all platforms including Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, and MacOS, and features a high-level API provided as an SDK,making it easy to integrate and develop connections with various external systems such as legacy business systems, MES, and IoT.In this way, since its founding, Softhills has made every effort to apply its lightweight 2D/3D engineering data visualization technology across the shipbuilding & marine, aerospace, machinery manufacturing, plant construction,electrical/electronics, and consumer goods industries. Through this process, the company has completed a product lineup capable of providing the right visualization solution for the right context— from digital mock-ups and simulation via 2D/3D model review, to large-scale digital twin construction through lightweight visualization of massive 3D models.Additionally, Softhills has secured the technological capability to integrate with design systems such as CAD, BIM, and Point Cloud already in use by customers; legacy systemssuch as PLM, ERP, MES, and SCM; and real-time status and physical data from IoT devices and systems such as RFID, NFC, sensors, GPS, and cameras. Furthermore, its proprietary lightweight format (.VIZ) enables interoperability across Softhills' own solutions, giving it a differentiated technological edge that allows one-stop resolution — from 3D object lightweighting all the way to digital twin visualization.CEO Park stated, "In line with our customers' ongoing demand for AI, one of Softhills' key goals this year is to build a highly refined, AI-based solution environment."He added, "Starting with the official launch of VIZMaven and the advancement of VIZZARDX's 'Physical AI' technology in the second half of this year, we plan to expand by 2027into a 'Physical AI' platform that combines engineering experience with 3D models — completing the roadmap for both the 'Visible AI' and 'Physical AI' pillars."He went on to emphasize, "We will also strengthen our internal employees' capabilities and technical expertise to build even more substantive technology, and further establish ourselves as a core partner driving digital transformation and AI convergence across manufacturing and various other industries." [View the Full Feature Article ▼]http://www.engjournal.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=3878
